CHORUS:
My eyes, my ears, my nose,
my tongue and my skin.
I love all my senses
and the world I’m in.

1. I can see, can see, can see,
yes, I can see with both my eyes.
I can see, can see, can see,
yes, giant lions, little mice.

2. I can hear, can hear, can hear,
yes, I can hear with both my ears.
I can hear, can hear, can hear,
yes, noisy dogs and quiet deer.

3. I can smell, can smell, can smell,
yes, I can smell things with my nose.
I can smell, can smell, can smell,
yes, roses sweet and sweaty clothes.

4. I can taste, can taste, can taste,
yes, I can taste things with my tongue.
I can taste, can taste, can taste,
yes, bitter leaves and sugar plum.

5. I can feel, can feel, can feel,
yes, I can feel things with my skin.
I can feel, can feel, can feel,
yes, summer sun and winter wind.

6. I can see, can hear, can smell,
yes, I can taste and I can feel.
I like being in my body,
from my head down to my heels.

Some ideas:
While singing we point with our index finger at the sense organ we sing about (at "skin" we show the whole
body up and down) and show with hands what you can do with each organ. For every sense organ there is one
verse:
See - put your hands horizontal in front of your forehead as if you looked far away.
Hear - put your hands next to your ears as if you wanted to make them bigger.
Smell - put your hands on your nose as if you stretched it.
Taste - move hands to your mouth as if you wanted to eat with your finger tips.
Feel - first, we pass our hand over our hand then up and down the whole
body.
In the refrain and the 6th verse all senses are included.
During the second half of the refrain:
To “I love all my senses” you can embrace yourself
To “and the world I’m in” clap your hands together three times
(or – if you like - you can repeat the movements of the first part of the verse in identical rhythm).
In the second half of the 6th verse you can embrace yourself and snuggle up
comfortably.
Following the song you can talk about the senses. You can ask children what they all can see (people,
animals, cars, things...), hear (talking, music, noises, animal noises, ringing ...), smell (fruit, herbs, aroma, food,
drinks, people, forest...), taste (trend in tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter...), feel (soft, hard, liquid, light, heavy,
comfortable...). Or, what else can we do with our senses (e.g. breathe, filter the air,
sweat...)
